The Governor's Committee for the Purchase of Commodities and Services from the Handicapped was established in 1989 to further the state's policy of encouraging disabled persons to achieve maximum independence by engaging in productive activities.

The mission of the West Virginia State Americans with Disabilities Act Office is to ensure all West Virginia Citizens have the opportunity to actively, fully and equally participate in all state government activities and programs.


Design-Build Board

The Design-Build Board was created to review all state and local government construction projects that intended to utilize the design-build method of construction. The Board's responsibility is to approve those projects that met the statutory criteria; disapprove those projects that failed to meet the criteria and provide oversight of the projects they approve.
