CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Department of Administration Secretary Jason Pizatella today announced that Dave Mullins will serve as Acting Director of the Finance Division, effective January 23, 2016.
The Finance Division oversees the accounting functions, including managerial accounting, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and 1099 for various state agencies. This agency also oversees the preparation and oversight of various agency budgets within the Department and the State’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
“With Dave’s experience and knowledge of state government, I’m pleased that he has agreed to lead the Finance Division again on an interim basis,” said Secretary Pizatella. “He previously served in this role and has proven to be an effective leader.” Acting Director Mullins will oversee the operations of the Division as a result of the December 31, 2015 retirement of former Director Ross Taylor.”
Mullins has worked for the Finance Division in varying capacities since September 20, 2003, including the position of Internal Auditor. Prior to state government, he worked in the private sector in the accounting and banking industry. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marshall University and graduated from the West Virginia School of Banking.
