CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Department of Administration Acting Secretary Mary Jane Pickens
announced today that a request for proposals (RFP) was released to solicit responses
from interested day care operators to administer the West Virginia Public
Employees Day Care Center.
The Department of Administration
and Kanawha County Schools are working together to prepare for a smooth
transition in the operation of the facility. Kanawha County Schools notified
the Department that it will no longer operate the facility after December 2,
2016.
The Department of Administration
is committed to continuing to offer this building for use as a day care for
public employees and is actively pursuing day care providers who are interested
in administering a program at this facility.
